Linda Ellis has a Specialized Certificate in Copyediting from the University of California San Diego Extension.
Her international clientele includes authors of fiction and nonfiction, book publishers, consultancies, and nonprofit organizations.
Before she began copyediting several years ago, Linda worked as a freelance writer and had many articles published in magazines and newspapers including the Miami Herald, the Sun Sentinel, and Palm Beach Life. Linda studied creative writing at Florida International University, where she won an award for her short fiction.
Linda is an active member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, the Florida Publishers Association, and the Florida Writers Association.
In her previous career as a software engineer, she wrote computer programs and technical documentation at Siemens and IBM.
Linda holds dual citizenship of the United States and Great Britain, and she enjoys editing in both American and British English.
